SAP-810 Averaging Pitot Tube |
Fluid passing around a Pitot tube generates a pressure difference between the front and rear of the tube that is proportional to the velocity of the flow. The holes placed on the front and rear of the tube are used to sense the difference, which is needed to calculate the flow rate. Multiple sets of pressure sensing holes give a distinct advantage in automatically averaging the non-uniform flow profile across pipe. |
MPA Flowmeter |
The 12∼24 pressure sensing holes placed widely across the entire cross-sectional area of the pipe responds correctly to any velocity distribution and naturally accommodate Reynolds Number Effect, and produce differential pressures that represent highly accurate average velocity. |
OPD Orifice Flowmeter |
Orifice Plates have a disadvantage of permitting a greater pressure loss than other throttle elements (Flow nozzle, Ventri tubes, etc.) do. but are most popularly used because of their simpler shape, easier manufacture ability, lower cost and higher reliability. The types of orifice plates include concentric orifice plate, eccentric orifice plate, segmental orifice plate, quarter-circle orifice plate and square orifice plate. |
CDP Type Flowmeter |
The Cone is a differential head flow-meter consisting of a circular cone placed in the center of a pipe section and two pressure taps. The upstream pressure tap is placed at a point where flow is undisturbed by the cone, and the downstream tap at the end of the cone facing downstream. The liquid or gas flows through the annular gap formed between the pipe wall and the cone, inducing a differential head that is proportional to the flow rate. |
