Introduction: |
It is a 3 Phase 4 Wire Reverse Power Relay. It is best suitable for monitoring the reverse flow of power from the 1 Phase or 3 Phase Generators or Emergency Power Supplies or when motors act as Generators. It senses the direction of power (current) by sensing the reverse Current. The power is calculated as V x I (Reverse Current) x COS f. It is measured by considering 5 Amps as the maximum Reverse Current for 100% Reverse Power. It can be preset from 2% - 20% reverse power. If the current from the Generator becomes reversed and it exceed the setting then the relay trips. | |
