The Visual Annunciator System architecture, configured where the electronic modules are remote from the window display, is ideally suited for large systems in power plants and process plant control rooms. The modular logic is housed in relay rack-mount or surface-mount chassis, and connected via multiconductor wiring to the lamp display. Connection to the display and the logic chassis may be made by means of individual wires to terminals; or via prefabricated cable assemblies with multipin connectors. The split architecture provides ease of maintenance with access to the electronics without interference with the control room operation.
